Retail Staff, Primark Central London

Our partners Young London Working have eighty interview slots to fill for Retail Assistant jobs with Primark in stores in Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus, and Marble Arch.

Due to the funding requirements these roles are open to 16 - 24 year olds through Young London Working. However, Olmec can help you apply directly to Primark if you fall outside of this.

These stores are extremely busy therefore previous retail experience is desirable, especially within fashion. If you don't have retail experience similar customer service in a busy pressurised environment (for example hospitality or events) will be considered.

Temporary jobs at Royal Mail

Royal Mail are looking for temporary staff to cover the extra workload over the busy holiday season.

The following sorting offices have vacancies paying between £7 and £8.90 and working a range of shifts including early morning and late night.

Trainee Smart Meter Expert, British Gas

British Gas are currently looking for Smart Meter trainees across London. The starting salary is £12,00 rising to £24,334 when fully qualified, plus London Weighting in Central areas.

Training will be provided at an award winning academy, supporting you to gain a City and Guilds level 2 QCF qualification in Smart Metering. After this you'll go out to customers' homes in your own fully equipped van with the latest tablet and mobile phone. You will be the face of British Gas, using practical skills to install meters, diagnose faults and make repairs whilst informing customers about energy usage and how Smart Metering makes their lives easier.

You will need four GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above including Maths and English, plus a full manual UK driving license with no more than 6 points.

Lambeth FACE (Metropolitan Housing) are recruiting an Admin Assistant

Lambeth FACE provide financial advice and debt support within London. They are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the project team and help to successfully deliver project objectives.

This will involve supporting the referral and engagement of tenants, along with the collection and collating of beneficiary information and feedback.

You will need demonstrable experience in an administrative role and high standards of computer literacy, particularly in Excel. You need excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload. Candidates should demonstrate a confident telephone manner and excellent customer service skills. An understanding of financial inclusion would be highly beneficial.

We're still looking for Ocado Customer Service Drivers

Ocado is moving to a brand new site in Park Royal due to the rapid expansion of their home delivery team. They are looking for drivers who can offer their customers the best service possible.

The pay rates start at £8.37 per hour, rising to £9.57 after 6pm and £10.46 for weekend and £11.96 after 6pm on a Sunday. These are not the only benefits of working for Ocado - they also have a 15% staff discount, private medical insurance, a group personal pension plan, and a bonus scheme of up to £360 per quarter.

Your van will be preloaded and your route planned for you leaving you to concentrate on giving excellent customer service and making sure your customers are away of any problems on route.

For this role you need experience in customer service and no driving disqualifications within the past ten years with no more than three points on your license. You don't need any previous work based driving experience, your customer service skills and experience are key here.

Free IT Training, Brent

There are ten places available for a NCFE Level 1 Award in IT and a BTEC Level 1 Award in Work skills starting Monday 3rd August and lasting for three weeks.

This will include an introduction to using the Internet to research and apply for jobs, how to use Email (including Gmail), how to use modern software packages such as Word, and how to use Universal Job Match.

Skills courses and guaranteed interviews, Westminster Kingsway College

Westminster Kingsway College are currently recruiting for Skills Based Work Academies in customer care, retail, and hospitality.

This will involve a training course followed by a guaranteed interview with an employer on successful completion. Employers they are currently working with include Autoglass, Fortnum and Mason, Whole Foods Market, Aroma Foods Group, and ACT Clean.

Term time only! Chalkhill Primary School are recruiting!

Chalkhill Primary School are looking for two new members of staff to start in September:

Admin Assistant:
To work 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only. You will need to be well organised and able to keep systems in place, have excellent spoken and written communication skills including an excellent telephone manner. Experience of SIMS is desirable but not essential.

Kitchen Assistant:
To work 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only. They are looking for someone who has a friendly manner and can work as part of a team and who values the importance of the kitchen within the school.

Weekend telephone jobs, Islington

We're working with a recruitment agency who are looking to fill telephone customer service jobs for a retail company.

You will be working Saturdays and Sundays on a temporary contract which is provisionally expected to last three months. The pay will be £8.50 and you will be making telephone marketing/ sales calls to warm customers (those who have had previous contact with the company).

Our partners Young London Working are currently recruiting Team Members for Pret a Manger shops across London.
