Trainee Meter Readers

Our partners Young London Working are currently recruiting for Trainee Smart Meter Reading Experts based in various locations in London

Whilst training this role will pay £15k but will rise to £23k in stages once qualification and competency levels are reached.

You will work in customer's homes, including outdoors dependent on where the meter is situated. This will involve some Saturday work.

To apply you must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs/ Scottish Standard Grades of equivalent at grade C or above including English and Maths along with a practical subject such as Technology/ Food Technology or Electronics. Your application should show evidence of practical hobbies including voluntary work. You will need a driving license with 6 points of less.

Mechanical/ Electrical Construction vacancies, Waterloo

A London building and construction company are looking for the following to work in their head office in Waterloo.

Electrical Estimating Engineer, £45000 - £50000
Must have full knowledge of codes and regulations, along with the ability to design typical Electrical components, and communicate with others and work in a team. Experience of using specific structural and design software (RAM, AutoCAD, Revit) is highly desirable.

Energy Modelling Graduate, £25000 - £30000
Must have full knowledge of relevant codes and regulations, and be able to utilise TAS software for Park L and bespoke models and be able to communicate with a team of trade experts. Experience of specific design software (Excel, SAP, TAS, IES, AutoCAD, Revit) is highly desirable.

Individual Giving role available at the National Theatre (Fundraising Assistant)

Our partners Young LondonWorking are recruiting for National Theatre and currently looking for a Donor Stewardship Coordinator paying £21,000.

You will be supporting the Individual Giving team through all aspects of administration with particular focus on the delivery of donor benefits.

This will involve events administration, along with answering queries via telephone, letter, and email, and managing the supporter database.

Administrator/ telephone customer service job available

A fruit and vegetable distributor who sources produce for some of London's most prestigious hotels and restaurants is looking for night packers/ pickers/ and loaders.

The role will be based in Vauxhall to begin with but will move to Park Royal within a few months.

The hours are 08:00 - 16:00 six days a week (with some flexibility) and pays £20,000

Candidates will need to have good telephone manner and previous administrative experience along with being able to communicate confidently and clearly in writing and verbally. Experience dealing with sales and new leads will be advantageous but not essential.

Pickers, Packers, Loaders required for night shift

A fruit and vegetable distributor who sources produce for some of London's most prestigious hotels and restaurants is looking for night packers/ pickers/ and loaders.

The role will be based in Vauxhall to begin with but will move to Park Royal within a few months.

Shifts could finish at 02:30, 03:30, 04:30. 05:30, 06:30 and candidates will work a non negotiable six day week. 

Candidates will need to have a good eye for detail and be able to work efficiently and accurately. Previous work in a similar environment will be extremely advantageous.

Loader = Sun - Thurs 21:00 - 05:30, Fri 22:00 - 06:30, £400 per week plus £50 attendance bonus

Packer = Sun - 18:00 - 02:30, Mon - Thurs 19:00 - 03:30, Fri 20:00 - 04:30

7.5 CPC passed Multi drop Delivery Drivers required

A fruit and vegetable distributor who sources produce for some of London's most prestigious hotels and restaurants is looking for two delivery drivers.

The role will be based in Vauxhall to begin with but will move to Park Royal within a few months.

Drivers must have passed their CPC and be licensed to drive a 7.5t vehicle (C1 license) and will need to make their own way to and from work. Previous experience of multi drop delivery is essential, ideally in London. Candidates must also be polite and helpful and remain calm under pressure, this is a customer facing role.

The hours will be 5am - 2pm over a six day week paying £400 per week plus £50 bonus.

Community Project Coordinator vacancy, Well London in Chalkhill

Well London Coordinator – £18,000 3 days a week (pro rata £30,000) fixed term one year post, with extension subject to available funding.

Well London is an exciting and ambitious programme that builds stronger local communities by getting people working together to improve their neighborhoods, health and well-being. We have been working in Chalkhill since August 2012 and are looking for a co-ordinator to further develop the project.

The co-ordinator will be based in Chalkhill and will use community development, project management and volunteer management skills to sustain and develop current activities, increase the capacity of the local community and build relationships with local and statutory organisations. Key areas of work contributing to the Well London health and wellbeing outcomes include:

·         healthy eating
·         physical activities
·         volunteering, employment and training
·         emotional health
·         social and community activities.

It is important to build the skills, confidence and capacity of residents’ groups and activities to be independent and sustainable and to ensure all sections of the local community are involved.
