Leafleters required for Holloway Road, £6.50 plus travel expenses

Praxis Language School are looking for leafleters to work for a week in early May giving out leaflets at Holloway Road tube stations and nearby primary schools.

Praxis are a not for profit organisation teaching English as a second language courses (which are currently available free for Metropolitan residents!)

This role will be paid at £6.50 with travel expenses provided.

You will be working 11th May to 15th May (Mon to Friday) in some of the following time slots

08:30 - 10:00
08:30 - 09:30
15:00 - 16:00
17:00 - 19:00

Kitchen Assistants, London Designer Outlet

Social Media Content Apprentice

Our partners Young London Working are currently recruiting for a Social Media Content Apprentice in Old Street paying £216 a week.

The employer is a leading website and ecommerce store providing discounts and offers to employees of major companies and organizations. They are looking for someone to join their creative team. Suitable candidates will have some experience in social media, and an interest in websites and analytics reports. You should have at least 5 GCSEs (ideally A - C) including Maths and English. 

This 12 month apprenticeship will include an internationally recognised Level 3 IT qualification.

Night administrator, Park Royal £400 per week

An food distributor in Park Royal are looking for two night administrators to work a six night week from Sunday to Friday (with Saturday night off).

Shifts will run between 21:30 and 06:00 (although there may be some flexibility on start and finish times)

The successful applicant will need to have customer service and administration experience and be confident dealing with high end candidates over the telephone as deliveries arrive in the morning. This will involve an impeccable telephone manner and excellent problem solving skills.

The pay is £400 per week plus a £50 attendance bonus.

Candidates who have previous night shift experience will be preferred.

Support Officer, Jobs and Training, working with Young Carers

Brent Carers Centre are recruiting for a Young Adult Carer Support Officer. This is a Part Time role working 20 hours a week and paying £22,000 and advertised as an 8 months fixed term contract.

You will be piloting a new initiative for Young Adult Carers, raising awareness with professionals and identifying new Young Adult Carers. Much of your work will be supporting Young Adult Carers into Employment or Training and negotiating on their behalf to ensure they receive the appropriate support and considerations to successfully progress in their education and careers.

You will need experience working with vulnerable children and young adults, as well as with professionals. This role will be key to promoting the well being of Young Adult Carers through respite activities and other relevant support, advice, information and services.

Sports Development Officer, London Youth

London Youth are looking for a Sports Development Officer, this is a six month contract paying £27,000 a year. This will form part of the 'Getting Ready' programme aimed at giving young people the opportunity to get involved in quality sport at grass roots level, creating a lasting legacy for youth community sport in London.

They are looking for someone with knowledge of community sport in London and experience of coordinating sports development programmes. You should have experience working with young people in a community setting and understanding the issues surrounding young people within sport, along with barriers which may prevent them from taking part.

Human Resources Apprenticeship (Level 5) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015                                                   
Minimum grades: A minimum of five GCSEs grade A*-C (or certified equivalent) in maths and English language, and 2 A levels.

Over two years, the Higher Apprenticeship in human resource (HR) management will provide you with a structured, comprehensive training programme designed to introduce you to a variety of HR areas, including but not limited to:

Project Planner (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Project planners are responsible for producing the strategies behind our projects and programmes. When given a project or programme, they assess the environmental and organisational constraints involved, the project and strategic risks, assess all factors involved and ask themselves the following:

Highways Technician (Level 3) - Applicants must be 16 by the 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: Three GCSEs (or certified equivalent), grade A*- C, including maths, English (essential) and, preferably, physics

The highways technician apprenticeship is an exciting, two-year development programme. It is aimed at people who'd like be involved in managing the civil engineering and construction projects which are essential to the maintenance and improvement of the capital's road network.

Traffic Infrastructure (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: A minimum of five GCSEs (or certified equivalent), grade A*- C, including maths and English language (essential), science and ICT (desirable)

As an apprentice in this area, you'll help to develop and install the latest traffic control technology which ensures that London's road network is running smoothly and efficiently. You will also develop valuable skills, gaining a broad range of industry experience and taking the first step on a career path in engineering the future of London's roads.

The Museum's customer service team is the first point of contact and public face for engagement with our unique heritage collection. The team delivers high quality experiences to all our visitors through a knowledgeable, collaborative and highly motivated approach.
The customer services apprenticeship provides a hands-on learning experience for young people who are interested, and enthusiastic, about face-to-face interaction with a wide range of audiences.

Apprentices work alongside our existing customer services supervisors, and assistants, to facilitate the visitor's experience, which includes supporting the delivery of learning programmes for schools and families.

Commercial Procurement (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Procurement, or the purchase of goods and services, is a versatile function which operates across many parts of our business. It's important for many reasons, but not least because of our commitment to assuring our customers that we provide value for money whenever possible.

Our commercial procurement apprentices develop an understanding of the full commercial procurement cycle, from tendering, contract management, supplier relationship and category management, to UK law and EU procurement regulations. We also expect our apprentices to engage with the external market creatively and effectively, to ensure that we deliver value for our business and our customers.

Commercial procurement revolves around finding the right product, at the right cost, at the right time and at the appropriate level of risk.

Pest Control Salesperson required, £40k on target earnings

ARK Environmental Services are recruiting for an Area Surveyor to work in West or North London. This is a Sales role, you will be responsible for developing and growing your own client base, ensuring you give a high standard of customer service.

Gateline Assistants for South West Trains

Our partners Young London Working are currently looking for Gateline Assistants to work for South West Trains at Waterloo station. These are customer service roles involving standing on foot and being the face of the company. You will need to be highly professional during extreme weather and at times when significant cancellations and problems arise. Can you demonstrate assertiveness and a highly outgoing personality along with resilience and patience?

The salary is £16000 - £18000 along with £1900 London weighting. Benefits include free travel on South West Trains and a final salary pension.

Successful candidates’ hours will be a mixture of early, late and night shifts, including weekends. Early shifts start at 06:00, lates finish at 23:00. Night shifts are generally 22:00-06:00.

You need to live within up to an hour travel distance from London Waterloo by public transport.
