Care roles - Brent, Ealing, and Barnet, Assistant and Managerial level

A private healthcare company is currently searching for healthcare staff including the following roles:

Evening and weekend Care Assistants:
Brent or Barnet
Mon - Sat £6.50 per hour
Sun, £7 per hour
This will be a 0 hour contract working to 16, 24, or 32 hour shift patterns.
You will be working in the community delivering care to elderly and disabled people who remain in their own home. No experience necessary - training will be given which includes five unpaid days classroom training.

Team Leaders, Field Care
Ealing and Brent
Mon - Sat £7.50 per hour
Sun, £8 per hour
38+ contracted hours worked over six days
For this role you will need care experience and be able to coordinate and provide office based administration for the team.

Brent Apprenticeships available to start Sept 2015

Transport for London, in partnership with Brent Council are currently recruiting for the following Apprenticeships to start in September 2015. Please follow the links to apply.

Human Resources Apprenticeship (Level 5) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: A minimum of five GCSEs grade A*-C (or certified equivalent) in maths and English language, and 2 A levels.

Over two years, the Higher Apprenticeship in human resource (HR) management will provide you with a structured, comprehensive training programme designed to introduce you to a variety of HR areas, including but not limited to:
·         Professional practice in human resources
  • Resourcing and talent planning
  • Performance management
  • Reward management
  • Employment law

Project Planner (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: A minimum of five GCSE grade A*- C in maths, English language, preferably science or ICT, and any two other subjects

Project planners are responsible for producing the strategies behind our projects and programmes. When given a project or programme, they assess the environmental and organisational constraints involved, the project and strategic risks, assess all factors involved and ask themselves the following:
·         Why has the project been undertaken?
  • What value will it add to the organisation?
  • What will the output or deliverables
  • What is the deadline?
  • What is the scope, budget and schedule?
  • What technology is going to be used to accomplish the task?

Highways Technician (Level 3) - Applicants must be 16 by the 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: Three GCSEs (or certified equivalent), grade A*- C, including maths, English (essential) and, preferably, physics

The highways technician apprenticeship is an exciting, two-year development programme. It is aimed at people who'd like be involved in managing the civil engineering and construction projects which are essential to the maintenance and improvement of the capital's road network.


Traffic Infrastructure (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Minimum grades: A minimum of five GCSEs (or certified equivalent), grade A*- C, including maths and English language (essential), science and ICT (desirable)

As an apprentice in this area, you'll help to develop and install the latest traffic control technology which ensures that London's road network is running smoothly and efficiently. You will also develop valuable skills, gaining a broad range of industry experience and taking the first step on a career path in engineering the future of London's roads.


London Transport Museum, located in the heart of Covent Garden, tells the story of London's transport heritage. Welcoming over 300,000 visitors each year, it reaches around 200,000 more through their wider outreach learning programmes aimed at children and young people.

The Museum's customer service team is the first point of contact and public face for engagement with our unique heritage collection. The team delivers high quality experiences to all our visitors through a knowledgeable, collaborative and highly motivated approach.

The customer services apprenticeship provides a hands-on learning experience for young people who are interested, and enthusiastic, about face-to-face interaction with a wide range of audiences.

Apprentices work alongside our existing customer services supervisors, and assistants, to facilitate the visitor's experience, which includes supporting the delivery of learning programmes for schools and families.

Commercial Procurement (Level 3) - Applicants must be 18 by 1 September 2015

Procurement, or the purchase of goods and services, is a versatile function which operates across many parts of our business. It's important for many reasons, but not least because of our commitment to assuring our customers that we provide value for money whenever possible.

Our commercial procurement apprentices develop an understanding of the full commercial procurement cycle, from tendering, contract management, supplier relationship and category management, to UK law and EU procurement regulations. We also expect our apprentices to engage with the external market creatively and effectively, to ensure that we deliver value for our business and our customers.

Commercial procurement revolves around finding the right product, at the right cost, at the right time and at the appropriate level of risk.

Urgent - Evening Receptionist needed for office in Borough - starts Monday!

Receptionist needed for an office building in Borough starting Monday 30th March.

This will be paid on a temporary basis at £7.50 per hour with a pay rise potentially after three months.

The hours are 16:00 - 21:30 Monday to Friday and the postholder will play a security role responsible for an office building with about twenty offices.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor roles, £19k plus funded BSc

To start September 2015.

A large construction company are looking for four Trainee Quantity Surveyors to work in various projects across London whilst studying for a fully funded degree which will lead to becoming a fully qualified quantity surveyor (BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying)

The salary will be £19,000 with all Personal Protective Equipment provided.

The essential criteria for these roles are as follows:

- 280 UCAS points (either existing or predicted)
- 17 - 24 years old
- 5 GCSEs at A* - C including English and Maths
- Willing to travel to Waterloo and various construction sites across London
- Driven and self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good listener

Factory staff required, Park Royal

A dry cleaning business in Park Royal are looking for factory staff to work from their industrial unit.

This will be worked over various shifts with the earliest shifts starting at 7am. There are only day time shifts available at present.

The pay is £6.50 per hour.
