Term Time Only! Lunchtime Play Leader, Part Time

Mitchell Brook Primary School in NW10 are looking for a Lunchtime Play Leader paying £14013 - £15589. Duties will involve:

-          Work as part of the lunchtime team and specifically with other SMSA’s.
-          Work with the Supervisor and other to develop play awareness and opportunities.
-          Engage children in purposeful play and fitness activities.
-          Teach play skills and specific games and activities.
-          Help support children with their personal, social and emotional development needs.
-          Supervise and interact with pupils during the lunch break, encouraging positive social skills and good behaviour in pupils.
-          Encourage inclusive and positive play in the playground and inside school during wet/adverse weather conditions.
-          To supervise pupils on the school premises, (hall and classrooms etc.), movement of pupils on the stairs through corridors, when they are not allowed outside in inclement weather.
-          Ensure pupils are dressed appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions.
-          Implement and support the school’s behaviour policies, ensure pupils comply with the school’s behaviour policies, and report serious misdemeanours to senior staff.
Skills
-          Verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.
-          Sound interpersonal skills to establish constructive working relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.
-          Ability to work as a member of a team.
-          Ability to undertake supervision of children in a professional environment to ensure management of their behaviour.
-          Ability to display positive social skills and encourage good behaviour in pupils.

    Salary: £6.59 - £9.09 per hour,  £10.77 - £21.94 per hour after 12 weeks.

    Key Duties
    As a sorter you'll be based in one of the parcel depots, sorting and preparing parcels for delivery by delivery drivers. This role is a vital part in the chain to ensure all our customers get their parcels on time. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Loading and unloading trailers
    • Moving van and vehicles
    • Sorting parcels from conveyor belts into cages
    • Moving cages
    • Scanning parcel barcodes
    • Working a part of the wider depot team to improve customer service
    • Maintain safe lifting and handling of heavy parcels even during busy periods
    Skills Required:
    • Works accurately using post codes to sort parcels into cages
    • Is a team player, willing and flexible enough to help colleagues to ensure that all our customers get their parcels on time
    • Is able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg
    • Occasionally, during busy periods you may be required to help out the delivery drivers by undertaking driving duties, so must hold a full driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points.

    Our Partners Young London Working are looking for Project Management Apprentices. This is a unique opportunity for two years to work on a number of projects including:

    HS2

    Network Rail

    During the apprenticeship, candidates will learn many facets of project management whilst working in a major project environment. This will include budgeting, risk identification and management, and quality assurance and evaluation, as well as outcome monitoring.

    Successful candidates will work towards a Level 4 Diploma in Project Management, as well as an Association for Project Management certificate. The two years of experience gained within these projects will be a huge springboard towards individuals beginning a career in Project Management.

    They have been extremely successful with these vacancies, supplying 32 (and rising) staff to Primark in the last few months.
